How does the feed conversion work?

The cat can even be accustomed to the new feed in small steps over several weeks by mixing the new feed with the existing one in increasing amounts.

Heating the feed

By heating the feed, more odours are released, which many cats find to be more appetising, as prey in nature are eaten at body temperature.

Feed management

The feed should be offered in many small, fresh portions throughout the day. Uneaten feed should not be kept in the feeding dish to prevent feed aversion.

Integrate delicious foods

You can mix in small amounts of appetising foods, like fish oil or lactose-free yoghurt.

Appetite stimulants

In order to help cats overcome periods of loss of appetite, appetite stimulants can be used in consultation with the attending veterinarian.
